What fun bedding for this bunk room! I did an in depth color study before I began painting, to pick out the best palette match. Sure do love my handy dandy paint chart that I made! Saved me hours of ‘pre-work’!
It was a lovely four days! Thank you to those that made it to my show! Not only do I enjoy meeting you and talking about art, I always come away with new learned lessons! I could not do this without you! Life is not lived in a vacuum or on an island alone nor is my art created in stillness and isolation. Your kind words of inspiration are music to my artistic soul. It was such fun to share in the giddiness of when a collector finds a new painting to bring home. Many of my paintings were fortunate enough to find new owners and I’m so humbled to be able to provide you with smiles and something to brighten up your walls. I’m one lucky girl!! Thank you! (and I secretly love when people sit on my chairs and stay for awhile, I sneak photos of them, it always makes me smile!)
Every fall my building puts on a three day event! Over 80 artists, music, food and awesome art! It’s a really neat building to explore with a diverse group of artists. I put a lot of work into getting my gallery into tip top shape showcasing my latest works. It’s a highlight for me to meet you! Love, Love, Love visiting with new and old friends. Just got these three back from the framers. It’s always fun to see the final product! I panted them randomly, but if you look closely, what do you see? It’s always funny to me to see what kind of life they take on all on their own! Cheers!

It’s a big one, 54 x 76. I was asked today what do I listen to when I paint? Today I have Post Malone to thank! Yes, yes, I listen to Post Malone lol. Lately I put a song on repeat and just “check out”. Today it was the song “Psycho”. Super funny the reaction I got from the person who asked! I joke I can’t understand half the words which cracks me up, but I just really like this song! Thanks Mr. Malone! Cheers! (and ps. the painting looks soooo much better in person!)

What a fun project the Artisan Home Tour was and how nice to have the living room with my birch over the fireplace in the fall issue of Spaces Magazine. (Advertising for the 2019 Artisan Home Tour) I could not be more thankful to have had the chance to work with such a lovely family who moved into this house! It is truly a splendid home! Cheers!
Thank you to the Carter Avenue Frame shop for so expertly framing this ‘big one’ and then having to rent a van to deliver it! What a GREAT job they do!! (At 58 x 66 it needed it’s own ride! lol) And once here, they installed it! Cheers!

It's funny as sometimes I "know" and sometimes I am not quite sure...this is one of those times! It will be fun to go back tomorrow and lay the painting out on the floor, as it's so large it drapes the table on both sides, and see it in it's entirety. (Kind of looks like a nice bedspread! lol) I often take progression photos so thought you might enjoy them. I did not however take a photo, which darn, I should have, when it was covered with birch trees. You can get a hint of them still. Depending on what I find tomorrow, I may go back in and add some. I wasn't "feeling" them today but it doesn't mean they might not still show up. Time will tell! And one of these days I'm going to make a painting out of when I apply the paint, I have so much fun tossing it about and making fun shapes with it. I keep meaning to stop and concentrate more on that process as I often see really fun things before I start moving the paint around. This is a big canvas so it took lots of paint. I did however scrape off enough paint to paint another separate painting that I painted in tandem with this one. It's completely different! When I needed a certain color I'd just scrape into the big one and choose colors off of it like it was a big pallet, super fun. Cheers!
